trying templates (and potential car wrecks) on for size

Recently, I've been contemplating some changes to this website--largely design in orientation.  Squarespace, the host of this website,  has this neat template feature in which I can experiment with different design templates.  I found this feature to be a little bit fun.  Maybe too much fun.

This is the direction I might go if I want my blog to be indistinguishable from other blogs:

Exciting, isn't it?  But if I want to add a little bit of coffeehouse angst to the design, I might get something like this:

Angsty, eh?  Fill'er up, Starbuck.

This is something a bit different and cool.  Perhaps it's one "measure" of a direction I might consider:

I have also considered incorporating more of a nature theme, given that I live in beautiful southern Wisconsin.  There's this...

or this.

The flower seems a little scary and, er, intricate.  But if you want scary, check out this...

If the right person comes along, sure, I'd like to be in a scene like this.  But to design an entire website around it?  I would hope my significant other would point me in the direction of a therapist.  Unless I decide to become a wedding planner...
